Budget process moves forward after snafu

WINDOW ROCK — The Budget and Finance Committee has accepted the Navajo Nation Controller’s revenue projection for fiscal year 2012 and set the General Fund budget ceiling at $173.8 million — approximately $5 million less than originally intended — after first trying to reduce the Permanent Fund set-aside to 10 percent rather than the mandatory 12 percent.
